Famous Subs And Pizza - Southport

Very busy at noon on a Tuesday, and for good reason. Great food.

Food was great, service was excellent; our server Deanna took great care of us! and despite it being the peak of tourist season, the 7 of us didn’t have to wait too long for food and beverage. The Italian sub is as good I remember it being 20 years ago!

With heavy heart I wouldn’t recommend Famous Subs and Pizza. About a year ago my wife, daughter and I went inside to dine. We had been there before and loved the food. While we waited for someone to seat us a waitress and cook got into a bad verbal fight. After some cuss words were thrown out in front of my little girl we promptly walked out. A year later we were in Southport so decided to give it another try. All the way from Wilmington we tried to place a take out order and couldn’t get anyone on the phone. As we came into Southport we decided to drive through and place our pizza order with the plan to come back in 30 minutes to pick up. After waiting 10 minutes and being ignored by the workers inside we finally drove off. This place has the best pizza I’ve ever had, but the people that work there sure do go out of their way to make it unbearable to eat there. Or for that matter, get takeout. Will not be going back.

Very good food, very good service. My family left a book in the restaurant, the manager personally brought it out to us so we would forget it.

All around a good place ! This was my first time in Southport, and Famous Subs was right next to the hotel, so I figured that I would give it a shot. The ladies were so friendly and tended to their customer’s diligently. On top of the service, the food was so good , and they even put a little bag of chips in there!! 10/10 recommend for lunch/dinner
