Prezzo - Southport

My family and I sat down for a birthday meal at this restaurant, only to be seated next to a table with two screaming babies in high chairs. It was clear that they were very tired at such a late hour. It turns out that the babies belonged to a staff member, who was constantly tending to them while feeding them food from the restaurant. After waiting for one hour for our starter, which was mediocre at best, we waited another 45 minutes before deciding to leave. When we informed the staff at the till area that we would not wait any longer for our main course, they apologized and explained that there were staffing issues. We ended up not paying for our meal and leaving, with no intention of returning.

The food at this restaurant is reliably delicious. The service is friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is pleasant and the space is not too crowded.

The meal was just okay, but the service was awful! We waited an hour for our appetizers and then another hour for our main course. The people sitting nearby were also not pleased. We only ended up at this restaurant because everywhere else was fully booked...now we understand why they had available tables!

I treated my niece and her 2 children to lunch on Monday, we all had a fabulous time, the atmosphere was great, and the staff Connor and Salah were brilliant, extremely helpful and polite. The food was gorgeous, all of us really enjoyed everything. Thank you so much, I really recommend this Prezzo.

We had booked a party of 13 for dinner and a 50th birthday celebration with cake. The booking was cancelled by the restaurant on the afternoon of the booking, citing staffing problems. Fortunately we were able to find another restaurant, which went out of the way to make up for the disappointment and anguish caused.
