Shogun Higachi - Southlake

The food surprised me, I usually don't like shrimp but it was cooked to perfection. I loved the sushi, the chicken, the rice, even the salad. Everything impressed me and I immediately found favorite dining experience. The entertainment was fun too

Great Hibachi restaurant. Chefs are great with the “show” (tricks, spatulas, conversation). Many options on the mixing of streak, chicken, seafood, veggies. We did have a problem with Open Table reservation was not known by the check in person, but we got seated in 10 minutes on a busy Saturday night.

We took a party of 8 to Shogun for my bday dinner. The only thing that happened was that we had a reservation for 7:15 and didn't get seated til 7:35. Otherwise, the service was really good and the food was excellent too. Would recommend going again.

Kevin our chef was GREAT! The only reason for not giving all 5 stars is because we asked to set directly across from the chef at the hibatichi table but the hostess said “we have to leave room for other people coming in”, it was a Monday night, not busy at all and they didn’t even seat anyone else in the whole place until 30 minutes after we arrived, a big group who obviously had a table reset for just their party. Hostess needs training on customer service.

Waiter took forever to get drinks and then hot tea was not. Slow taking orders. Hibachi chef was excellent! Great personality, funny with kids and food was delicious.
