When we reported this issue, the management declined to refund our money or provide any discount for the inconvenience. Additionally, there were missing smoke alarms, and the rooms were in dire need of renovations. Unable to stay any longer, we left and found another hotel. It was far too unsettling to relax knowing that roaches could easily find their way into our luggage. I strongly recommend choosing a different place to stay.
Aside from the brown paper bag breakfast and the questionable cleaning staff, it’s not entirely dreadful—if you can overlook the persistent smell of smoke in the hallways and the outdated decor. This is likely why the room rates are so low. There are a couple of other options within a quarter mile that are slightly more expensive, but trust me, they are worth the extra cost. My breaking point was when I accidentally left my phone and watch chargers in the room, only to find they had mysteriously disappeared. I've requested to speak to the manager, as I'm sure there must be a record of who cleans which rooms, and I would love to see how this situation is addressed. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this place. Ultimately, though, it’s your choice whether to take a chance on where you and your family stay.
The power outage has led to these hotels significantly inflating their prices. Charged $500 for a room that usually costs $89? That's downright outrageous, and it's shameful to exploit people during a blackout. Rating: 1/5 for the rooms.
Do NOT stay at this hotel. I’m not a picky person. I am willing to put up with the breakfast that was supposed to start at 6:30 am but didn’t start until7:00 am, and I’m willing to put up with ALL the food being gone by 7:30 am. I’m willing to put up red juice stains on the carpet, room keys that wouldn’t work properly and a bad tv remote, but the fact that there was NO HOT WATER for 3 days is ridiculous! I mean zero hot water. The first day of no hot water I had attempted to shower at 5:30 am. I called the front desk to make them aware of the problem and was told that maintenance would be in at 7:00 am to fix the issue. My husband then called at 10:00 am and the front desk staff member had a different story and said the city had “drained the hot water tanks” and they were being filled back up, so there would be hot water in an hour. I got back to the hotel about 5:00 pm and again attempted to shower, but still no hot water. I called the front desk again and Natasha said the hotel was booked and “a lot of people are showering” so they’re out of hot water. She then actually suggested that I shower at 4:00 am so that I’m not showering when so many other people are. What?!? She also tried to convince me that all hotels run out of hot water when they have so many guests( interesting that in my 30 years of staying in hotels, many times full to capacity hotels, I have never, ever not had hot water . I then asked to speak to a manager and Natasha said she WAS the manager, so I asked to be compensated for the inconvenience and she refused telling me that I already had a good enough rate! She mentioned something about the owner, so I asked for his name; she said it’s TOM but she doesn’t know his last name. The next morning my husband and I ran into some other hotel guest in the hallway who also had no hot water, non-working room keys and didn’t get any breakfast because it was gone at 7:00 am.We checked out of the Wyndham and went to Holiday Inn Express. A MUCH better hotel, and it was very much worth the few extra dollars!
Was somewhat pleased with my stay, didn't know I had to request housekeeping services on 2nd day there. My room didn't get clean when I returned for the evening. Also no restaurant continental breakfast, they have grab-and-go at the front desk.Rooms: 4/5
