Osborne Bros Cafe - Southend-on-Sea

I visited this restaurant on Saturday for an early Valentine's Day celebration. They had some cozy pavilions with benches, allowing us to sit comfortably without being affected by the strong winds. We opted for a seafood platter as a special treat for brunch, which came with two rolls of bread and two cans of drinks. The total came to around £35, and it was worth every penny! The seafood was incredibly fresh, the rolls were soft, and the drinks were refreshingly cold. I couldn't have asked for a better brunch! I'm definitely looking forward to coming back very soon!

We decided to stop by for a light lunch on Friday and thoroughly enjoyed our chili salmon salad and crab salad. The service was attentive and prompt, the restroom was clean, and we loved sitting outside with a nice view.

I visited at 1:30 PM on a Saturday for a seafood dinner. There was a large selection of seafood, and I appreciated that the dishes were served individually. This was perfect for us since my partner isn't fond of sharing platters, allowing us to order what we wanted without any food waste. The oysters were fresh, though I noticed that each one was completely detached from its shell—so I wondered about that. The chips were excellent, and we enjoyed them as well. Although you can’t make a reservation, we didn’t have to wait long for a table.

Nice little place right by the sea. The freshest fish you get anywhere and with friendly and warm service. You can't go wrong.

Fantastic seafood and friendly service. Try the octopus hotdog (Friday to Sunday) and the cockle/samphire loaded fries. Soft drinks only but I think they let you bring in drinks from the pub over the road.
