Southbury Seafood Market

I was not impressed with my experience at this restaurant. I decided to pick up dinner for New Year's Eve, but unfortunately, the fish and chips had too much breading, making it difficult to taste the fish. The crab cake didn't taste like crab at all, mainly just filler, and they forgot to give me the sauce we had discussed as an alternative to tartar. Additionally, the scallops were undercooked, so we had to sear them ourselves. I gave the dishes a try, but I won't be returning to this restaurant.

The restaurant offers a great variety of delicious food, especially seafood. However, I must admit that I find it a bit expensive, especially when compared to other high-quality stores like Stew Leonard's. Nevertheless, it is a convenient, local option with friendly staff and delicious food.

Their sushi is delicious and fresh. They are very willing to make me something different from what's in the case because I have a shrimp allergy. They are a weekly stop now for us.

Amazing experience with helping my mom/daughter pick out seafood for my daughter's special 13th birthday meal request, homemade sushi. Knowledgeable, patient, and most importantly some of the freshest, best tasting salmon and tuna that I gave had in a long time! Can't wait to try more!

The sushi is always fresh and delicious, not to mention they'll make a custom roll for you right their on the spot! Whether eating prepared foods (sushi, soups) or buying from the market to cook later I've always had a great experience at this place and the friendly/knowledgeable staff will give you tips on preparation, of you're buying raw!
