Captain D's - Southaven

The food was exceptional—fresh and absolutely delectable! However, the drive-thru line was quite long. Even with the wait, I think it was definitely worth it.

I recently visited a Captain D's, and although they were unfortunately out of butter—something that surprised me since it's so commonly available at grocery stores—the food was fantastic. Instead of choosing a baked potato, I went for a double serving of green beans, okra, and catfish, and I was thoroughly pleased. The catfish was served hot and fresh, with a light, well-seasoned coating rather than being heavily breaded. The green beans were also seasoned just right and not too salty. I also indulged in the funnel cake sticks, which made for a delightful sweet treat to share with my family. I gave this place 4 stars due to the missing butter, and I'm hoping that my next visit to a Captain D's down south will include some!

I was really pleased to finally sit down and enjoy my meal while it was still hot and delicious. However, since I visited later in the day, my food was served in a takeout container, and I had to rely on packets of ketchup, tartar sauce, and cocktail sauce.
