Toby Carvery White Swan - Southampton

For the money and food is fine. Vegetables were a little dry but for me the most important apart from the meat) are the Roast potatoes and on the night I went they were fantastic. Seating was fairly private our table was a little bit wobbly. Staff always friendly.

The whole experience was disappointing. I had to wait several minutes before being shown to my table. My friend and I ordered vegetarian meals which turned out to be frozen reheated. For this we had to wait 45 minutes. Poor value for money.Definitely would not go there again.

Nice setting on the river. Good food. Helpful and polite staff.

The only issue with the food was that the roast potatoes had obvioulsy been waiting around for a while and were fairly chewy rather than crispy. Also, I booked the table online but when we arrived I was told they don't take online bookings?? Clearly they do as you have now sent me this survey online! Fortunately, they still had room for us. There is no mention of it being a Toby Carvey, either inside or outside the building, which is unusual.

Food was fine, hot and plenty of it. Service was ok too.
