Called in here when following links to the RMS Titanic. Lots of interesting artefacts to view and a very friendly publican.

If you don't mind having your temperature checked after the pandemic, then this place is worth a try. The beer selection is excellent. It seems like the owner may have opted not to get vaccinated, which is their choice, but it might not be the most pleasant way to start a relaxing evening for many people. However, the beer is still excellent.

The landlord/manager/owner continues to insist on taking customers' temperatures upon entry. While this may be his prerogative, it was not something we were comfortable with, so we decided to leave and head to a nearby pub for a drink instead.

The interior of the pub is dedicated to all things RMS Titanic, with pictures, ship plans, newspaper front pages, and a television showing documentaries about the ship. Although the pub is a free house, they serve beers from the ‘Titanic’ brewery to fit the theme. The pub has a cozy ‘town’ atmosphere, different from the more modern interiors of big chains, but we felt very welcomed by the host and enjoyed the overall vibe of the place. If you have an interest in the RMS Titanic story and find yourself in the town, we highly recommend a visit to this pub. We would certainly consider returning in the future.
