We entered the restaurant and found it to be empty and cold. They only had Campari as a bitter option, which my partner had to settle for. The menu was underwhelming, with only four different burger options including a vegetarian choice. There was a student discount of £1 with an ID card. Other options on the menu included Gnocchi, steak, and mackerel. The fixtures in the men's restroom were not working properly, so my partner had to wash his hands in the ladies' restroom.
For starters, we tried the charred mackerel with sapphire, squid, and a white wine gel. The mackerel was well cooked and the vinegar gel balanced out the oily and salty flavors. For mains, we had garlic and crimped gnocchi with wild mushrooms and homemade pesto, as well as a fishcake with a runny poached egg, spinach, and beurre blanc. For dessert, I had the lemon meringue pie which was deconstructed with lemon curd, quality meringue, and torn puff pastry. My friend had the chocolate tart with a chocolate quenelle, salted caramel, baked chocolate, and popcorn. The chocolate was a bit firm but had great flavor. Overall, the food was excellent and the staff were friendly. They have recently started serving food and are not yet widely known, so it's easy to get a table now. However, if they maintain their high standards, it won't be long before they become popular. I would definitely go back.
Came over this bar today and saw friends who use this bar as a regular meeting point. very quiet and light atmosphere, the bar waitress was very beautiful and attentive. hidden as it is only on the main street, but not underestimate hidden gems. beautiful for. a quiet drink or two!
I visited this restaurant for the first time last Saturday evening, and I was pleasantly surprised by how wonderful it turned out to be. The bar is owned and managed by a lovely woman who is warm-hearted, friendly, and willing to chat with anyone. The staff at the restaurant are also very nice and helpful. I highly recommend this place if you're looking to enjoy a few drinks. The prices are reasonable, but the quality of the drinks is top-notch. I would suggest trying the Fusion cocktail and the Chocolate Squirrel - they are absolutely delicious! Overall, I would rate my experience 10/10 and would definitely come back again.
