NBHD Neanderthal - South Yarra

Had a delicious lunch with family at Neanderthal in Prahran on saturday 18 January. The coffee WAS EXCELLENT as was the meal and service This place is fun and well worth a visit

I imagine that we are over thirty years older than the target market of this modern upbeat cafe/restaurant - or perhaps they named it 'Neanderthal' to attract us, too! Be that as it may, we found the ambience very comfortable. The decor is modern and interesting - there's a cosy feel; the food we had for lunch was excellent, and the service super-friendly. Prices are restrained. Based on our very pleasant experience, we heartily recommend the place.

We had lentils, an egglpant dish, and a Punjabi chicken curry, and all were fantastic. This is some of the best Indian food I've ever had.

What a hidden gem of a restaurant in Mossman! So glad we stumbled upon this place after our Daintree excursion, it was the perfect cap to the day.

Very good Indian food, good service, and away from the madding crowds of Port Douglas.
