Riverside Tavern - SOUTH WEST ROCKS

I visited this restaurant while staying at Crescent Head, and it was definitely a cut above anything local. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, and it's very pet and family-friendly. I ordered the rump steak, which was delicious and served with a flavorful mushroom sauce. My husband had the burger and insists it was one of the best he's ever had—quite a bold statement! The atmosphere is relaxed and laid-back, and the menu is impressive with high-quality dishes. I highly recommend this place if you're in the area!

The location is excellent, situated right by the river with a lovely breeze. We found the food to be fantastic, and it was prepared in just 10 minutes. The restaurant provides clean restrooms, a bar, games for children, indoor and outdoor seating, all contributing to a pleasant atmosphere. They also play music, and the staff is very friendly and efficient, which adds to the overall experience. While the menu is somewhat standard, the quality of the food is really impressive. My only concern was that they didn’t inquire about our vaccination status before seating us. Overall, it's a lovely spot that I would definitely recommend.

This is a lovely restaurant with a charming outdoor garden and delicious food. The steak was cooked to perfection, well-seasoned, and a great cut of beef. The chips were just average, and the salad came with dressing (which I’m not a fan of), but the wedges were excellent! Unfortunately, the salt and pepper calamari was lacking in salt and pepper, which was a bit disappointing.

Really nice meals, trout and the ribs were brilliant! Though the squid was so salty it burned my mouth. Other then that great service with a smile. And lightning fast!!

Good food cooked perfectly. Staff friendly and helpful. Not a huge menu and good value. Beautiful spot and not too crazy. Won the raffle and got a $30 voucher... so I will have to come back.
