And the best fish and chips hot and golden, dry and crispy, home made mushy peas and tartare sauce. Tasty batter puffed up and falling off succulent, really tasty cod. Will actively seek this out next time. Maybe even parking up there and walking down to the beach. Oh, did I mention the excellent view from their large front windows? And at night you see the Harbour Lights.
Great pleasant pub that serves a good selection of beer, weeping etc. the staff are very friendly and friendly and eating is excellent. not a regular pub l visit, but if I'm in the city and a good delicious meal with good atmosphere and beautiful outsight then this is the place I go. always greeted with a smile and never have to wait long for a beautiful cold pint. Eat is worth waiting as I said, the cook is a 5-star cook and they can say as soon as they taste their meal absolutely delicious. Sunday evenings are almost always fully booked, so they must book in advance, unless they are happy and someone is cancelled. it is practical situation means that they can walk along the beach or through the parks to burn unwanted calories or work an apatite before their meal. in total highly recommended and worth a visit. p. s my niece enjoys the prospect of the canon outside the pub lol.
It was just for lunch it was amazing. we had bark dives with chips really first class and good value. the personal is really friendly and profi will definitely try something else on the menu
This traditional pub in South Shields offers excellent fish and chips, as well as a first-class breakfast and beautiful views. It is definitely worth a visit.
