Golden Bull Fisheries - South Tyneside

Just had chop suey roll and chips and the wife had fishcake and chips and they were superb! Lovely golden brown chips and delicious fishcake and chop suey roll. Absolutely delicious!

Walked in and ordered our food. Then waited and waited. 45 minutes later we were told that our food had been ready for half an hour and was just sitting in the warmer. We never left but we totally forgot about. This is not the first time this has happened. Since the food had been kept warm for so long it tasted terrible. Everything had just sat stewing away.

Tonight I ordered two servings of fish and chips and two servings of sausage and chips at this restaurant. Unfortunately, the fish had an unpleasant taste and all the food had to be thrown out.

Really disappointed in our delivery, wondered why it was do quick. Chips were very undercooked, could still taste the starch on the potatoes, the curry was ok but mushrooms were huge in it. Chicken char Sui rice was very sparse of meat. I wouldn’t order again, it used to be so good too

I have been getting English and Chinese takeout from this restaurant for years, and it has always been good quality and delicious. However, my recent orders have been disappointing. The fish was dry and tasteless, the chips were pale and soggy (they used to be crisp and flavorful like they used to be). The black bean sauce was bland and watery, and the fried rice was no different from plain boiled rice. I find that the frozen meals from Iceland are more tasty and better value for money. I have been a loyal customer for many years, but unfortunately I will be going elsewhere from now on. It is a shame because this restaurant used to be so good.
