I have been looking for somewhere like this for ages! I often visit friends in Devon from my home in Hertfordshire and wanted a nice spot for a lunch stop around the halfway mark. This fits the bill perfectly. Location wise it’s just 2 minutes from the A303 halfway into the journey. The pub has real character, the staff were friendly and there was a good vibe in the place. I had the Sunday Roast and it was excellent, perfectly cooked, tasty and generous. Parking: Private car park
