Good food great service from the staff. Highly recommended and well worth a visit. You will enjoy the food and the atmosphere. Tonight Sunday 20th Feb 2022 is the last night as the building has been purchased by South Tyneside council for demolition. The 27 year old family owned business after surviving the Covid closedown has been destroyed by a shameless Labour council who should be ashamed of themselves for doing this. Thanks to all of the staff past present for superb service superb food. Goodybye The Raj gone but never forgotten.

Visited this restaurant this evening meal was fabulous. Very relaxed atmosphere, staff very friendly. Excellent service safety measures in place eg seating arrangements, new bottles of hand gel placed on our table when we arrived and staff cleaned door handles etc regularly. We will definitely return to this restaurant

After visiting the restaurant many times had always great eating and exceptional customer service one of the best in shields for good service. a few weeks ago we had a light problem with our take and ali has sorted it completely for us tedious thanks. very recommend this restaurant and all staff are very friendly, respectful with excellent manierism.

Great place to have a traditional Asian meal. very tasty eating good menu with all traditional favorites. first choice for good food. large atmosphere very welcoming
