Dixie Cafe - South Rockwood

Dixie has always been a fantastic place for dining or performing. The generous portions, reasonable prices, quick and friendly service, and consistently excellent food are why I keep coming back. I have two noteworthy observations: First, you seem to have misunderstood one of my previous requests. Secondly, two years ago, my wife had ordered takeout, but when she went to pick it up, her car wouldn’t start due to a dead battery. She called to cancel the order, but instead, they delivered it to us. This was long before the days of DoorDash or Grubhub, and it exemplified the kind of attentive customer service one can always expect from Dixie.

It was our first visit to the restaurant, and we had a great experience. The service was excellent, with all staff members wearing masks, and the seating capacity is quite limited, which made for a comfortable atmosphere. I ordered the sea dirt, and my wife had the cod, both of which were delicious. However, the star of the menu was definitely the soups. We both tried the chicken paprika soup, and it was outstanding. I highly recommend Dixie Cafe.

The food and service here are consistently excellent. This is our go-to spot whenever we can't decide what to have for dinner. There's always something for everyone on the menu. If you haven't tried it yet, you definitely should—you won't be disappointed!
