Nabs Head - South Ribble

We stopped for lunch on our way to the football game. We received a friendly welcome, the service was quick, and the pub food was delicious. The only downside was that they didn't answer the phone when I called to check if they had availability, so I'm deducting a star for that.

I have been coming to this restaurant for the past six years, both before and after Covid, when it was temporarily located in a tent outside. I was happy to see it reopen and have been back several times since October 23. The food and service have always been top-notch. While the menu may not be as extensive as before, with pizzas and curries now missing, there is still a great selection of classic pub dishes that are expertly prepared.

I had a wonderful experience revisiting The Nabs Head in Samlesbury. The staff were friendly and welcoming, the food was delicious and served in generous portions, and the ale was top-notch. The cozy atmosphere, complete with a lovely log burner, added to the charm of the establishment. I highly recommend dining here - a definite 5-star experience!

Our first visit since lindsay took over. We used to come regularly when Michael was here but after closure and the first re opening we have not visited. We came with a friend and our 3 dogs , the lunch menu looked great but we asked if any specials were on. After checking in kiitchen my hunt had sea bass and king prawns. It was beautiful. Hassel back potatoes and the trimmings. I had the chichen supreme with black pudding and medley of veg etc and our friend had chicken bacon ciabbata with fries etc . I can honestly say it was the best pub meal we have had in ages. Thanking you so much . The staff were lovely , helpful and attentive. It was a pleasure to meet lindsay too. We will be back soon .

This is the first time we have visited the Nabs Head since it reopened. The Sunday lunch was the best we've ever had in a restaurant or pub, homemade and full of flavour. The chef obviously cares about quality tasty food. Brilliant service too. Many thanks, we will definitely be back!
