Eat was well cooked and delicious when it arrived. they didn't rush to have arrived in a quieter time, so it could have been. later it did not notice otherwise than busier. overall a very good experience. eating and drinks were offered at a reasonable price.
The place itself is beautiful and the staff was great all night. but eating was not good at all. my man had to send back his calamari as he was unusable, it was cooked again and the second attempt was much better and tasted much more fresh. his head at steak but was hard to season and the red wine sauce had no taste at all. I had escaped for the main course and it was hard and slandered with a soak that had again very little taste. dessert was beautiful but the staff was great, so maybe it was just a free day in the kitchen?
Four of us decided to dine at Gusto because it was nearby and a favorite spot for all of us. However, we were disappointed to find that the menu had been reduced to only one portion size (previously, smaller portions were available at a lower cost). I ordered the three meat lasagne, which was delicious but the portion was quite small for a main course and not sufficient for those with a larger appetite. Additionally, a 10% service charge was automatically added to the bill, which I prefer not to see. I believe in tipping based on the service received. We also found the price of a large glass of white wine to be rather steep at £10.50. Based on our experience today, it may be some time before we decide to dine at Gusto again.
The food is excellent, the service is attentive, and overall it was a great experience. While the prices may be a bit high, the quality of the food and service make it worth it. The 50% off food in January makes it a really good value.
We recently dined at the restaurant and had a great experience. The food was delicious and the staff were excellent. However, we were surprised by the bill as it included a 15% service charge instead of the stated 12.5%, and the donation taken was £2 instead of £1. We believe customers should be informed about these charges in advance rather than having to opt out. Additionally, a friend mentioned that they were charged for tap water at a Manchester Gusto, which we feel should be included in the service charge. Due to these issues, some of us have decided not to dine at Gusto in the future.
