I had wrapped the brekky that was a little underwhelming. a little bland and not huge for $16. based on the others who had people around us, it looked like I had hit a bad choice. service was fast and friendly. come back and try something else next time.
Perfect coffee, good food and excellent customer service. a must try to have an breakfast or lunch. dinner pasta special is worth a big deal.
Light ambiente, customer service and food experience for over $55. ordered the shakshuka and Moroccan chicken burger and two coffees in tassen, a flat white and a soy mocha. Both coffees had at least 3cm foam, so we can also order them in regular small teases. shakshuka with chorizo had 2 “smoothed” eggs in it and I hope to stir through my beautiful Runny egg just to find the most gummy eggs I have ever been served. they were so over boiled that the egg yolk was crumb when I tried to break it! the front door stayed when inserting the customers so I open it with a chair that was next to him. the door was closed and I repeated the...read more
Had the beetroot, haloumi and pear salad. $18 rip off. It was a plate of rocket with tinned pickled baby beets, a teaspoon of candied walnuts, 4 thin slices of pear and 2 slices of haloumi, completely drizzled in balsamic glaze. For the price I would expect fresh roasted beetroot. I also asked it to be gluten free, as advertised on their menu. The pickled beetroot are not gluten free, contain malt vinegar which is made from barley. I did not eat them. In hindsight I should have sent the plate back, feeling quite unwell now. Gluten free or not, still not worth the $18.
DISAPPOINTING. 4 people first time at Globe but what a disappointing experience. The Cafe may be good for cake and coffee but definitely not for meals. Two of the meals ordered were substandard. Snapper, Chips and Greek salad would be an elimination on MKR. The plate was piled high with chips and salad making the meal look substantial but the grilled snapper was miniscule. Cannot guess how it had been prepared apart that it was not freshly grilled for service. It was hard and chewy and cold. The portion size was less than 50% the size of a saucer. The Truffle Mushroom Risotto! Where was the Truffle? The Risotto was so dry is was similar to a Chinese fried rice consistency....read more
