The Baskerville - South Oxfordshire

Ok, first the bases. location, I enjoy going the thames river paths and it is not too far from the river; the rooms are very well equipped; modern and very nice on suite bathrooms; Restaurant menu, fabulous and more than their usual pub food! but what makes this a great place to stay or just for eating or drinking is the owner and the personal. friendly, attentive without “hovering” and always helpful. many thanks kevin, sophie, wants and the other barkeeper (sorry but I didn't catch their names, but they were a great dj for the party and their campari splash was perfect! . I stay here at my next visit!

Had a drink in the gardens in front of a special feast. Amazing eating and so a great service from the beautiful staff. I could not mistake the place and we even share the same name top brands for the baskerville from us! x

My man and I have just returned from a two-day stay here. the room was very clean, neat and welcoming with a well filled box coffee, tees, milk, sugar etc. as well as free bottle water. the breakfasts were absolutely delicious with a fabulous choice. the dinner menu was good, we both enjoyed the juicy burger and shared the very tasty sharer pudding platter. only divine! the staff was all friendly, friendly and polite. we hope to return.

Friendly staff, after just a walk from reading a cold drink was very welcome, didn't feel as our walk in henley ended, another time maybe as eating looked very nice, thanks to again their staff, they couldn't help.

An excellent lunch stop while walking the Thames Path a friendly welcome and service; tasty, well prepared food (can recommend the Atlantic Cod). On a slightly chilly winter's day, we appreciated the log fire. Lots of paintings, photos and other memorabilia on the walls to interest rowing and rugby fans.
