The restaurant offers a great selection of cakes, including gluten-free options. It is a cafe that is operated to provide work experience and build confidence for people with learning disabilities and autism. The service was slightly slow, but Henry served us well with some assistance. There are signs indicating that the service may be a bit slow. The cake was delicious, so don't let any previous negative comments deter you from visiting.

We ordered a scone and a cake since there were no plain scones available, along with two coffees. The coffees and cake were promptly served, but we were missing the scone. Despite inquiring about the scone, we were only assured that it was on its way. After finishing our coffees and cake, we had to request a refund for the missing scone. Although the cafe had potential, the poor service was disappointing.

I stopped by Savages Garden Centre for a coffee and a sandwich during a walk. The tea shop was busy, but not completely full. The server did not give any indication that the service would be slow. I ordered a bacon and egg sandwich, a bacon roll, and some tea. The tea took 10 minutes to arrive, and after waiting for 40 minutes, I inquired about our food but received no response from the server. When I asked again 5 minutes later, I was told it would be another 10 minutes. After waiting for a total of 55 minutes, our food finally arrived. Unfortunately, the bacon was extremely overcooked, as if it had been cooking for the entire 55 minutes. The sandwich was soggy on the bottom, and the roll was hard and seemed stale. I had heard that the food here could be good, but our experience was not pleasant and the service was subpar.

Been having breakfast here regularly for a couple of years now. It never disappoints. Staff are always very friendly even when very busy which they often are. Despite recent price increase like everywhere it still offers great value. A very minor criticism, hash browns can be a bit stodgy.
