Harris Hoole - South Oxfordshire

The vegan options included a banana and choc chip slice, mint pies, vegan plowers with vegan cheese and a butternut quash wrap. coffee tastes fantastic, beautiful and smooth with caramel taste.

Popped in here three times during our time in England. Nice little coffee shop with two floors and a decent amount of seating. Had a cheese toasty on one visit, a rocky road brownie and tea on a second visit and a pastry and a cappuccino on our final visit. The staff was very nice and the cafe as a whole was clean. A nice place to stop off and people watch while supporting an independent coffee shop.

Walking past Harris and Hoole, thought time for tea and cake, but front window was occupied by someone with a dog both sitting on the sofa. why are dogs aloud in a cafe and why is the dog sitting on the sofa? thought we would go somewhere else. I do not want to sit where a dog has sat, especially next to the table with food on.

I visit this restaurant a few times a week to grab a tea to go before work, but on weekends I like to sit and enjoy a drink there. The atmosphere is relaxing and the staff are very friendly.

I was enjoying a nice cup of coffee at 5:30pm when a rude older lady with blonde hair and glasses insisted that I leave. She informed me that seating indoors was only until 5:30pm, even though the sign outside said they were closed until 6pm. I was not the only one affected by this rule - another customer arrived at 5:30pm and also wanted to sit down, but was told the same thing. He had to plead for an extra 5 minutes. It would be helpful if the restaurant clearly advertised that indoor seating is only available until 5:30pm to prevent customers from feeling as though they are being kicked out unexpectedly. This simple change would prevent situations like this from happening in the future.
