Lovely old pub, with caring staff,very friendly and very helpful and indeed very hardworking, The young lady serving, seemed to cover every inch of the building itself....nothing seemed too much for her. The management may want to look at a pay increase for her!!!!!

Sat in the garden, Roast dinner was awful, cold Yorkshire pudding and some veg cold! Potatoes tasted strange like they had been reheated! Some meals came out quite a bit later than others and we had to ask for cutlery. Some of the garden tables are in a dirty state which is a shame. Would I eat here again? No too overpriced for poor quality. Desserts were the best part of this family meal.

I booked here for a lunch time meal with family on a Sunday and we all felt a bit disappointed with the meals and service. My pimms was served in a pint glass and our meals came out in dribs and drabs which meant we were all eating at different times. Some things weren't available which I find difficult to believe! Things like sprinkles for the kids ice cream which probably need to be stocked up. The meals we had weren't good value for money either and some of our drinks were warm. What a pity because the garden is lovely and the children loved playing on the park. Take note manager this has such potential but sadly it wasn't met on this occasion. Maybe with some improvements we might return in the future.

Friendly young man at the bar and friendly enough waitress but the quality of our food for the price we paid was absolutely outragous! What ever you do, do not order the burgers or the chips you 'll be Soo disappointed. It will make you feel like your world is ending! (Funny that) And as for the coleslaw it tasted watery and like it was completely calorie free. I 'm sick of going to places that treat you like your 50stone. 'Fat free this ', 'fat free that '. Let people take accountability for there actions! The beef burgers that were served to us were almost certainly the 1/4 lbs co-op own brand ones that you get out of a packet because the salty cheap after taste is identical. The chips were dry and oven cooked. £92 spent on burgers that were half the quality of burgers you 'd get at McDonald 's or BK. Day light robbery. Such a shame for such a beautiful country pub. Never coming back.

We came for a family meal. The lady serving was probably the most miserable ‘front of house’ staff I’ve ever been served by, I wouldn’t usually be so personal but it was hard to ignore as she was so positively rude. The food was cheap and expensive, I expect high prices now but would expect better quality for it. The bloke behind the bar was friendly and helpful though. The play area outside is tired and needs attention. We won’t be returning.
