Kept telling us to check the bottom of the bag... You can only empty the bag completely once... 30 min later, still no food, and now they have no drivers in the area and we are supposed to drive to the store to pick up the food that had been sitting there...
This establishment deserves a negative rating if it were possible. Despite clear instructions about my dietary preferences and paying extra for specific substitutions, my order was incorrect. They served pork despite my request otherwise, and when I raised the issue, they simply scooped it out and replaced it. Moreover, the service was Terrible—being denied access to the bathroom and when I asked for napkins I was given just ONE single napkin for a full meal which was unacceptable. It's regrettable to see customers treated so poorly, ensuring I won't return to this place. Mind you my total for this meal for $20 and i tipped $5 before receiving my food. You would expect some quality service after tipping an establishment.
We order 2 times per month from here for over 7+ years. They don't deliver on their own anymore, they use Uber. They forgot to include the gravy sauce for my egg foo young. I called and the woman said that it would be a 1/2 hr. After 90 mins, we called again, and accused us of lying about a cup of gravy, then said they wouldn't bring it, then said they can credit my CC $2.00. After spending $70 collectively with my co-workers, and a decent tip to the driver, I get dry egg foo young, sticky rice and $2. DONE WITH SAM FONG, China House on S. 27th St now has our business.
This has been our favorite Chinese restaurant for many years. The food is delicious! Today is the last time I will order from them. I ordered $82 of food tipped $18. The delivery person just dumped the bag of food in front of the door didn’t ring the bell. Normally I have to sign a receipt. The food was cold by the time I noticed it. I ordered two orders of boneless Chinese fried chicken 13b from the menu — they sent bone-in chicken wings instead. The fried dumplings sauce spilled all over the food paper bag. It ruined the almond cookies rice made a gross sticky mess of all the sauce packets food. I called to ask them to redeliver the boneless chicken, cookies, rice a sauce container. They transferred me to 4 different people! The final guy asked to call me back. They called about 10x, let it ring once hung up. I was told to email pictures of my order to a weird email address which came back undelivered twice. All I wanted was what I ordered. EDIT: Woke up this morning found a bag in front of the door. Who knows when it was delivered (It was at least 1,5 hours after I called to complain) because they never rang the bell! You have lost a long-time customer for the TERRIBLE service. I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM SAN FONG AGAIN!
