I have been a loyal customer of this fish and chip shop for years, but I was disappointed with my order tonight. I placed my order through the app and when I picked it up, I noticed that the fritters I ordered were missing. The special fish portion was also smaller than usual. The chips that came with my chicken supper seemed to be leftovers from the day, possibly reheated. They were mostly crunchy, dry, and lacking in potato. Overall, I was not satisfied with my meal and I don't plan on returning. It was a total waste of £18.
I paid £7.20 for a sausage dinner, which was quite shocking. I was also charged an additional 65p for sauce. The chips were solid and the sausage was not much better. I would recommend avoiding this shop.
Normally the quality of this takeaway is very good, but tonight it was really poor. I ordered 2 chip rolls and a bag of chips. Each chip roll had a maximum of 6 chips in each roll, which was ridiculous. I don't know if they'd run out of potatoes to fry but I wasn't impressed as it cost me £9.90.
As someone with Coeliac’s disease I was delighted to discover Adios’ Gluten Free Monday. The website states EVERY Monday is Gluten free. Well not today 29th May 2023! After driving there and waiting in a queue when Gluten Free Fish and Chips were ordered we were told “we’re not doing them today because we’re too busy on a Bank Holiday”. Disgusted with this and the attitude.
