Yha Ambleside - South Lakeland

I and my friend visited and urgently needed feeding after a long walk. very reasonable prices for decent food that came very fast, magnificent view out, but I must comment on how beautiful the staff was. I made my partner wear a silly badge on his birthday day, and every server we talked to wished him a happy birthday and they even put on being dessert without asking them to make any special damps. we laughed about him for the rest of the day (he stole the candle as souvenir, I am very sorry)

Good, inexpensive eating, excellent atmosphere and location. available from vegan options. overall we had many happy family dinners here, as we stayed in yha ambleside!

A visit to Ambleside is not complete without stopping by this restaurant. The bar is fantastic, the menu selection is excellent, the views are breathtaking, and the service is top-notch. We absolutely adore this place.

We have visited this YHA many times to explore the hills surrounding it. It is ideally located with a wonderful view overlooking Lake Windermere. The staff are always friendly and willing to assist, and nothing is too much trouble for them. The food is excellent and the beer is equally good. We can't find any faults with it.

We called in and managed to get a disabled space. We were lucky I think the staff were doing the best they could to move the non disabled drivers. All the staff were helpful and friendly especially the man who took the food order. He apologised that I couldn’t order a pie because it was only mains on the evening menu that was desserts as well. I did manage to find fish and chips on the day menu. The food was well cooked and we enjoyed it. But I’m sure that a mains and dessert menu would go well at lunch time. It’s worth considering. The view is superb and the whole place felt relaxed and friendly. And good service. Just what we needed. Thank you.
