The Potting Shed Cafe - South Lakeland

After a walk in Ambleside, we found this restaurant to be a great spot for a full breakfast. We enjoyed our meal so much that we returned a few days later for lunch. Both meals were very pleasant. For breakfast, we had the full English and full veggie breakfast, both of which were excellent. For lunch, we tried the salmon and bark sandwich and the smoked chicken sandwich, both of which were really tasty and offered a nice variety of flavors. The staff were friendly and attentive, but not overly pushy. The tables were well cleaned between customers. We would highly recommend this place for breakfast and lunch, and we will definitely visit again the next time we are in the Lakes.

During our visit to grasmere we thought here was a light lunch. we both ordered sandwiches . I had the booze and my man had that huh. my goodness when they arrived, I thought we had one between us. the flesh was really flesh. not the processed art and the chutney that came with my sink was delicious. we now know we're coming back when we're in the lakes.

I stumbled upon this restaurant after struggling to find a place to eat, and I was pleasantly surprised. As a coeliac and vegan, it can be challenging to find options, but this restaurant had plenty of choices for both dietary restrictions. I tried the gluten-free and vegan falafel platter, which was absolutely delicious and came in a generous portion size. I highly recommend it. My partner, who is vegan but not gluten-free, enjoyed a tofu and pesto sandwich that also looked great. It was refreshing to see some creative vegan options on the menu. The service was quick and the staff were friendly, making it an overall positive experience.

We stopped for a coffee snack in the café. We have visited the garden centre before but would say the cafe’s furnishing and general environment are not over impressive in fact it all looks fairly basic particularly considering the high prices. Toilet facilities old...and only just adequate.

We had a nice breakfast this morning and cuppa. it was great service and the mood was very nice for a Sunday morning. we recommend our friends.
