Red Dragon Inn - South Lakeland

My partner, our two dogs, and I stayed overnight. The accommodation was spotless and the food was amazing, both breakfast and dinner were 10/10! A special mention to Sharon who was fantastic, so friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay extra special. She is truly a credit to the establishment. We will definitely be back! Thank you for a cozy, pleasant, and friendly experience.

I happened to be in the area and decided to stay the night at The Red Dragon. Upon walking in, I was greeted warmly by a young lady behind the bar. I inquired about room availability and rates. Since it was her first day, she went to get someone to assist me. While waiting, I ordered some delightful food. The lady in charge came over and we had a pleasant chat. They had one room left for the night, so I reserved it for £80, which included bed and breakfast. The room was a bit dim but clean and well-equipped for a comfortable stay. I ordered a chicken kebab for dinner, which was plentiful and delicious. The menu offered a good variety of choices. The bed was cozy and I had a restful night. The breakfast options were plentiful as well. I would definitely return in the future.

My wife had made a reservation at this restaurant for my birthday, but unfortunately she fell ill on the morning of our visit. I called to inform them of the situation, fully prepared to pay for a late cancellation, but they graciously offered to reschedule our reservation at no additional cost. When we finally arrived, we were greeted warmly by the lady in charge, who I believe was named Jo. She was incredibly hardworking, always smiling, and willing to assist with anything we needed. The room was lovely and impeccably clean, and I was pleased to see that mugs were provided for tea, coffee, and biscuits of high quality. Our evening meal was delicious, and the only difficulty we encountered was deciding what to order since the menu offered so many enticing options. It seems that there is a growing trend in hotels and pubs to use top-notch ingredients, and the hearty full English breakfast certainly did not disappoint. We will definitely be returning to The Red Dragon; it is a charming country pub in a delightful village that we look forward to visiting again.

We had a lovely Sunday lunch and found this pub to be very welcoming with a nice atmosphere. We all had different meals which were of good size portions. I would recommend the roast lamb.

Popped in, last Monday lunchtime, although there were 2 members of staff at the back of the bar, they turned and walked away, without even acknowledging or saying someone will be with us shortly. We waited, as did another customer however as no-one came back to serve us, we just walked out. Terrible customer service, sadly we won't be back and wouldn't recommend
