The views were nice, but the facilities left much to be desired. There were only two unclean and unusable toilets/showers at the back of the cafe. For £30 a night, we expected more. The drinking water taps for caravaners had cloudy water, which was concerning. Other couples on site hadn't even noticed until we pointed it out. The cafe itself seemed nice and the Biscoff Rocky Road was a highlight, but the campsite needs significant improvements. We won't be returning.
My husband and I visited the tearoom today. We thought we would have lunch so we were disappointed that the menu was so limited compared to last year, we had not realised that the menu had changed. I had a mug of soup, didnt realise it didnt come with bread, but the price was only £2.50, I would have paid extra for it if offered bread. I had carrot cake but it didnt have the lovely cream cheese icing you normally get, It was just icing sugar mixed with water, quite boring. My husband had quiche which was very nice.
Absolutely love this little gem, the food is homemade which is a massive bonus, the staff are friendly and nothing is to much. Wouldn't go to another cafe if honest and if you go try the cheesecake best one I've ever had
What a great little tea room. Just what we needed after 95km on the bike. Super views of the fishing lakes and very friendly staff. The coffees were lovely, as was the lemon drizzle cake and currant sugared pie. Defo worth a visit. Many thanks.
Fab little tea room and we stop here regularly on our cycle rides. Great selection of cakes, scones and puddings plus delicious savoury bites too. Really friendly staff and always welcome us with a big smile. Highly recommend.
