Cottage Kitchen - South Lakeland

Visited here during a short stay in this week. I've dipped the cheese, swirling and tomatenquiche. when we arrived, it was still in many times that I had not waited for! it was the best quiche I ever had, beats dicksons, shops, even farm shops! as they can see on photo, the quiche was bramming, beautiful and fresh ingredients! the staff was also very helpful as my friend is gluten-free and he even had a few beautiful cakes!

Lovely food, bacon ciabatta was the best I have had in a long time staff friendly and service good.

Steak and onion homemade pie was bursting with flavour and the pastry perfect. However the chips were bland and unseasoned. Service was great however was empty when i arrived. Not tried cakes or desserts here so may visit again for this.

We called in for a breakfast while on holiday and we were welcomed in. The staff are all really lovely, and the service was excellent. Food is all freshly made/cooked and we loved it there.

We stopped at the Cottage kitchen for a quick snack and were not disappointed. 4 adults had the fruit scones (home made), clotted cream, jam and tea. The grandchildren had chicken nuggets and beans on toast. The scones were delicious, we bought more to takeaway. The children's meals were excellent. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Prices are very reasonable. Overall a gem of a place.
