The Naked Fish Sushi Restaurant

The staff was very friendly and welcoming. there are a few vegan options distributed around the menu (edamame in the appetizers, house and seaweed salads, etc. the best section to find out is the veggie rolls though, which had four big options. we tried three of them. 1) Japanese veggie has avocado, gurke, gobo, spirouts, and kanpyo. it is a great selection of things that makes for a much tasty roll as a boring old gurke or avocado roll. the menu says that it comes with a side of wasabi aioli that is not vegan, but they were happy to leave it for us. 2) omakase is a chef the choice that contains different dinge, depending on what is in the season. when we tried, there was avocado, gurke, microgreen, carrots, and what we think was pickled beet or similar. 3) tempura veggie has sweet potato, wobble, carrot and bok choy. the crunch from the tempoura is really good. that was the favorite for our group. covid note: none of the workers here wore masks.

Okay, so they wouldn't necessarily think that a restaurant named after fish as place with great veggie eating. they would be wrong. that was my first time ever to eat since the pandemic, and it was not only great, it was an amazing and unforgettable experience. there is a section on the menu of veggie maki (all are vegan), as well as some other dishes on the menu like udon w/ veggie tempura. several interesting, creative maki in addition to the usual gurken and avocado roles. I ordered the omakase (cooking) veggie and was treated with a huge, delicious roll that was shed with a sweetness I have never eaten. a kind of locally grown succulent, unexpectedly both crispy and soft, and covered with tau-like crystals. I didn't crack you! how often did they get out and have surprised to taste a new sweet? what a tasty bite! beautiful list with several nigori decisions including sho chiku bai from the class. friendly, quick service. endes open, especially at busy weekends. these youngs will definitely meet the floor, now that the dings open. loud, lively and great melodies! so refreshing to listen to any music that is not rock oldies in tahoe. felt like I was in a hip sushi joint in the bay area. I look forward to the return flight!

This is the best vegan sushi I had in my life. the options are creatiw, tasteful and beautiful made. the ingredients taste extremely high quality and fresh. I have the ultimate veggie roll, the gurkenrolle and the omakase veggie (choice). updated by previous review on 2020-09-11

My vegan sushi was loaded with fish and fish eggs by “fall”. the personal doesn't know what a vegan is. Rude employees.

The quality of sushi here is outstanding. The portions are extremely generous and the diverse menu will keep you ordering for more.
