Riva Grill On The Lake

The food was good. The stopper was a little watery. The boneless ribs had a different texture than what I use. This place is kind of expensive.

I love it! I ordered the slowly roasted main rib and it was delicious (I am not a food critic and that was my first time with him). And although it was busy, the service moved like a clockwork. I had a drink called The Woody and it was exquisite. And the outdoor seats gave us an excellent view of the lake during sunset. All in all, great experience and I hope to come back here when I am in Tahoe.

Beautiful location on the shores of South Lake Tahoe. Many outdoor seating. The food was very good as our server (his name is difficult for me to remember how it is Romanian). He spoke excellent English and was very personal. The house made salt vinegar chips and diving are great and the original traders Vic's MaiTai are fantastic.

We enjoyed dinner in this restaurant overlooking the lake, but I could not give it 5 stars based less than stellar service and less than expected food quality and presentation for the great prices on the menu. Expect a slow service (not so bad if you enjoy drinks and watch the sunset on the water) and pay more than expected for your menu choices and drinks. We liked the view from the terrace, but the sunset on the mountain to the west is not really visible from here. The lobster deviled eggs sounded great on the menu, but were basically just plain deviled eggs with small lobster pieces on top. Nothing special? Originally from Maryland, the crab cakes as an appetizer were also unstoppable. The ducks were better, and parts were plentiful. You have online reservations and free parking. Parking service is also available. A good restaurant to try if you do not have the high prices, but I would not recommend it to family or friends

My second time dining at Riva grill and we got to enjoy the back patio on a lovely evening at sunset. The staff was friendly and timely and our drinks and appetizers were good but when our main courses came two in our party ordered the white fish and one of the dishes the fish was extremely overcooked and dry, so much so we sent it back.
