The wings had a crispy exterior, and the chicken inside was cooked to perfection. You can customize your order with a variety of sauces, making it a unique experience. Be prepared to enjoy these in the car, but be aware that the sauce options could use a little more effort. Way to go, Wakefield—let's keep pushing for better food options!
My husband enjoys his favorites: double burgers piled high with bacon and a half dozen clam cakes.
I was in search of a place that serves great fried fish, and I found it at Benny’s. Down here in southern Rhode Island, many places overdo it with the batter, making the fish heavy and akin to eating a corn dog. But not at Benny’s! They serve it with a light batter and flaky fish—exactly what I was craving. The fries were also wonderful. Just a heads-up: it’s not a cozy spot to hang out in winter, as there are only four seats inside. It may not be fancy or pricey, but the food is absolutely delicious.
My friend and I stayed here for lunch and got 2 hot weavers and an order of homemade pommes. You give your order in the window of this tiny building. Just cash, plan ahead. It was delicious and the price was not bad! I'll visit her a lot.
I had fish and chips and my partner had clam chowder. Everything was delicious and the portions were big without being wasteful. It wasn't super cheap but it was reasonably priced especially for the amount of food we got. The staff was extremely kind and I think they even stayed open late to make my food (I called before I saw their closing time and they didn't say anything and served me with a smile. One very important thing to know, they are CASH ONLY.
