The Rising Sun - South Holland

A really friendly welcome and a nicely prepared chicken dinner for me. I had telephoned before as I had had a variety of openclosed comments partly because of dodgy previous websites.. I need not have worried,splendid family atmosphere.

I went to The Rising Sun for lunch today. The new owner was very friendly and welcoming. Our meals were delicious with generous portions, served hot, and condiments were provided. It was great value for money. The garden was well-maintained and allowed for dogs. It's lovely to see The Rising Sun back in business and I wish Chris and Haleigh all the best. I will definitely be returning soon. Thank you.

Great pub, great beer, under new management. We stopped here for a few beers. It is now under new management and the hosts are very friendly. Selling Woodfordes beer too. Not doing food at the moment, but hope to soon. We will be back

The menu offers very few options to choose from. The only choice we all agreed on was ham, egg, and chips. Unfortunately, the chips were not good and they were missing mustard.

We went for Sunday lunch on the bank holiday weekend. Kris and Hayley were welcoming to us and our young children. The Sunday carvery was fantastic and there was great entertainment. We stayed until closing time because of the wonderful atmosphere. It was a breath of fresh air for the village.
