The Olde Ship Inn - South Holland

I had a pleasant Sunday lunch, but the gravy was too thin. I will try the weekly lunch or evening meal next time.

The Sunday lunch at this restaurant was outstanding. We arrived without a reservation, but the staff were very helpful and managed to squeeze us in. We were served a delicious meal, including a vegetarian option.

The new management has restored the Ship to its former high standards of good food, a well-kept cellar of beer, and good service. Prior to their takeover, the Ship was disappointing during the pandemic. I highly recommend giving it a try if you haven't visited since the new management took over. The menu may be small, but the dishes are excellently prepared and presented. In the evenings, only basket meals are available, but they are of a high standard. I've heard from friends that the Sunday lunches are also excellent.

A simple menu which was cooked beautifully bar staff and owner really nice couldn’t do enough for you.

Call in for a drink but stayed to have a basket meal which was very nice, pipping hot and delicious too, good value along with good selection of ales, friendly staff and good service. Do yourself a favour and pop in you won't be disappointed
