Waterfront Lakeside Grille

Usually Waterfront has good food and service, unfortunately our last visit was terrible on both accounts. Our visit was Sunday Aug 6th. Seating was quick and our waitress was prompt to begin with, it was a train wreck after that. Our salads bread never arrived. Took way too long to get our food. My crab legs were overcooked the steak was dry. For $50 a plate I expect better. My wife's steak was ordered medium and was overcooked, her lobster tail was good. My kids Mac cheese looked like it was made several hours ago. When I pointed out the salad bread issue, the waitress offered to bring them, but no offer to make it right was offered. We took soup to go in lieu of a salad after the mediocre meal. When we got home we found a very small serving of soup and one breadstick each. The soup was pretty good. One of the worst meals I have had in years. The service was really slow and it took almost 45-60 minutes to get our food and was almost to the point where we were ready to leave without eating. When our food finally arrived it was BAD. Every dish was missing things. The Philly Cheesesteak was 80% gristle, the bun was an old stale hotdog bun with a ketchup thumbprint in the back of it (yuck), my side was less than a dozen cold from frozen French fries, they originally forgot the au jus but when I reminded them I wish I hadn't because it was so bad. My GFs order had sand in it and she was given some very off tasting mash potatoes. I would not recommend this place, especially at its price point. Have dined here several times and usually have decent service and food. Tonight my family had dinner here, I ordered a King Prime Rib (16oz on the menu). What I got was about 10oz of fat and gristle and 6oz of edible meat. When the waitress stopped by to ask how everything looked so far I said to be honest my cut is mostly fat and gristle and the edible meat portion was less than a petite cut. She just shrugged and said well at least it was prepared the way you ordered and walked away, no offer to resolve the issue or anything. I took a picture after I had cut off all of the fat and gristle showing what I’m talking about, only had one bite of meat at this point. $32.00 for this cut with no resolve offered, what a joke! Restaurants and people that work there just don’t care anymore at all! On the plus side the view of the lake was beautiful. Waterfront, do better with your customer service, have some pride! Service and food are both terrific. The stuffed mushrooms are one of my favorites..I love seafood so the scallops are so delicious and perfect. My husband and I found this place fishing quite a few years ago and we've been coming here ever since. Can't say enough good things about our waterfront! This restaurant has a great lakeside location and view. Plenty of food choices. I you're a boater they have a private dock for their customers. Casual or dress up as much as you want. My wife had stuffed mushrooms and dinner salad, I had Hamburger Steak covered with brown gravy, mushrooms and onions, I chose baked potato and dinner salad. Both were very good and reasonably priced. Our server was Micki who was prompt, efficient and did a very nice job to make our dining experience special. There were 6 in our group and they enjoyed the night too.
