Sherman Dairy Co. - South Haven

Sherman's is the perfect spot for delicious ice cream and excellent service. During the summer, expect a busy crowd so be prepared for a wait in line. I have been a loyal customer of Sherman's for many years and it never disappoints. It's a wonderful way to spend a summer evening. I have always had a positive experience at Sherman's. Just be mindful of the nearby busy road if you have children with you. The service is great for dining in.

We took our boys on their last day of the season, as we do every year! Usually, we pick up a quart to go and then head home to share it. While we were waiting for our quart to be hand-packed, they gave all three of my boys a baby scoop to enjoy! The restaurant was very kid-friendly and engaged with my children. The service was excellent, and we enjoyed a meal other than dining in.

I would have given this restaurant 5+ stars before it closed, but since reopening, the ice cream we used to love has changed significantly. I was deeply disappointed with my recent purchase of 2 quarts of "Chocolate Malt Supreme." The malt flavor is no longer there, and the chocolate chunks are chewy and flavorless. I suspect they may be made from soy instead of real chocolate. At $14 per quart, this is unacceptable. Please consider returning to the original recipe. Unfortunately, you have lost a loyal customer.

Staying in South Haven a few days and after reading the reviews we had to try the ice cream...especially since we were staying across the street. Ice cream was delicious! The portion sizes are huge. After seeing the size of a small I opted for the baby size and it still was plenty enough to be satisfying. Do yourself a favor and stop by for a treat!

This is an iconic mainstay of our family who has been visiting the South Haven area longer than Sherman's has existed. We love this place! The ice cream is excellent so many flavors to choose from, and all delicious! It's a must stop for anyone traveling in or through the area.
