The Steam Packet Inn - South Hams

Good pud serves good local beer. good cheap, fast service and friendly staff. many outside seats next to the river, I would think it would be busy on sunny days

We stayed overnight and also had a meal. The food was delicious and the portions soooo big. Very good value for money. The room was really lovely too clean, modern decoration, everything you could need. The people staying above us were rather noisy which was the only slight negative and not the fault of the pub. Location was fantastic and Totnes was beautiful. Staff were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely be back and would highly recommend.

We organised our late father's wake at the Steam Packet and I am so glad we did. The room and view was lovely and the food and service was just excellent. I cannot recommend it enough. Thank you to all the staff for making the occasion go so well.

Fabulous spot on the river, a seal even decided to do his fishing right by where we sat. Fabulous meal as always, great portion sizes and friendly staff. The interior is well decorated with that modern twist, a fabulous spot for lunch.

Probably the nicest gastropub I've been to in my life. Peaceful atmosphere, clean seating and tables, nice staff. Food might be a bit pricey but it's worth it.
