I asked a local friend whixh chinese they recommend for a Chinese dinner take away Lucky House was the answer. Upon calling to order the lady who answered was very friendly, quickly took details and order. Food arrived within 30 mins. I wasn't sure what to expect but my taste buds were not disappointed what so ever. My child enjoyed her dinner as much as i did. My order was: sweet sour chicken balls, chicken chow mein beef with mushrooms. Total £16.40 roughly. Pic included.
This restaurant offers takeout only. The quality of dishes can vary, with some being significantly better than others. It seems like the experience can be a bit of a gamble. My partner tends to order the same dish each time, and the results can range from just okay to amazing. It seems like the outcome might depend on who is cooking that particular night.
We ordered a delivery so disappointed not only did it take 95 mins the food was awful. Ribs poor Satay chicken ok, rice ok chicken balls sauce tasted vinegary. Szechuan prawns tasted like they were already cooked then out into dish. I will not be getting any food from here again £67 Wasted as far as I am concerned.
Both my partner and I ordered chow mein - I had the plain while he had the chicken. Both dishes were very greasy and had an unusual taste. Unfortunately, a few hours later, we both became ill - experiencing stomach issues, diarrhea, and I even vomited. We have been customers of Lucky House for years, but this time the food was terrible.
