Panera Bread - South Elgin

WARNING: There was a severe tornado yesterday that was active near this location. As soon as everyone noticed the tornado approaching, the manager, Edwin, thought it was a joke and instead of instructing everyone to evacuate to a safe area, he pulled out his phone and started recording the tornado. I will never return to this establishment and I will be reaching out to the corporate office as well.

I have nothing but positive things to say about Panera. I often meet my clients at various locations, and this particular Panera is one of my favorites due to its excellent service.

I paid $13.50 for two half pieces of bread with just a small amount of roast beef. The photo showing beef on both pieces is exactly how it was served—I didn’t even touch it! They piled all the meat on the smaller piece of bread, making a tiny sandwich with barely any beef. When I spoke to the manager, he insisted that this was the correct serving size and there was nothing he could do about it. What a joke! For $10 at Portillo's, you can get a Big Beef that blows this away. Forget about Panera; they’re just taking your money!

This is a newer one for me and chairs uncomfortable, music too loud and poor insulation bc no rugs to help w sounds. Didn't stay as long as we wanted. Wish they had a quiet room like Woodstock does.

Sadly, waited 30 min for simple things like grilled cheese and soup. Cashier didn't know how to ring up the transaction. Guess no one here is trained properly.
