Melbourne Deli - South Derbyshire

This Deli caught our eye instantly as it is so pretty and inviting from the outside. we decided to pay it a visit whilst we were on holiday in the area. it is a small shop with a lot of stock. It features a variety of cured meats, scotch eggs, cheeses, veg, bread, chutneys etc. We enjoyed some lovely sour dough bread and a delicious scotch egg. It is well worth a visit.

I visited this restaurant right before Christmas looking for Turkish Delight. They had some available, but it was a bit pricey. When I mentioned this, they offered me a discount since it was Christmas Eve. The quality was top-notch, and I will definitely return the next time I'm in Melbourne.

The guy who runs this place is such a hard worker with an eye for quality I have no idea where he gets his energy from .. but I'll have a pint of what he is on! An excellent selection of artisan meats, cheese, pies and chocolates. You can take freshly prepared sandwiches/baguettes away and he serves tea and coffee to take out too he did have a two seat table in the shop but I don't think that is there any more. Was open 7 days a week from early until late but I think he may have worked out what his optimum opening times are and may have fallen in with those but I might be wrong. Plenty of off street parking further up in the village but none around the shop which I think has been its downfall in the past but he has a regular patronage now so that doesn't matter so much and of course, regular customers means fresh produce! What is not to like?

Went for a quick look around today, and found that this restaurant has a fantastic variety of high-quality items. From cheeses to meats and delicious chutneys and jams, they have all the delicious offerings you would expect.

This shop is a total magnet for me in the lovely market town. Brillaint staff, and the most amazing food cannot wait to pay another visit
