I'm vegan and gluten intolerance (although I don't have a bit of gluten here and there). Your gluten-free bread is not vegan, so most “vegan” options for me as it was, but the worst thing is that everything that needs to be cooked is cooked on the same grill as the meat, therefore it becomes a “plant-based” menu and not a “vegan” menu It is actually not vegan! The only option for me was the “Fego Superfood” and even that has honey in that I asked them to leave. The dish was okay, but I could make myself a better one, especially to see how she had no vegan dressings to go with it! Never back.
Good lunch. Can be busy. Various vegan options available.
The fabric seats were so dirty I didn’t want to sit in them. The floor clearly hadn’t been swept from the night before-it was 10am and the floor was dirty. My daughter had a hair in her food. The staff weren’t bothered. I wouldn’t go back. I should have taken some photos.
We ate a late lunch here as a family of 4 last weekend. We were in a bit of a rush as we had to catch a train, and the food did arrive very quickly. I think to pay £9.95 for a halloumi wrap with salad is a bit on the pricey side and would’ve expected a few fries to be included at that price. The souvlaki salad and grilled chicken mayo sandwich were both really over-seasoned unfortunately. On a positive note, the staff are very polite and helpful.
Fego used to be very good. Since a recent revamp of their menu, they have decided to take most of the great plant based and veg items off the menu! No more plant based burgers or Tofu wraps with hoisin, they don’t now even have a veg/vegan menu, seems like they have gone back in time! Very disappointing.
