Wok N Fire - South Barrington

The sushi at this restaurant was fantastic. We tried the St. Charles Roll and the Las Vegas Roll, both of which were delicious. The stir fry was decent, but I would suggest opting for the sushi instead. The Crab Rangoon was average. The atmosphere and decor were enjoyable. However, I thought that the prices were a bit high.

Pad Thai was delicous maybe a little mushy? Still great and the bartender with the beard and freckles was super helpful. The lantern room was super pretty and they have a nice sake selection

We used to come here often years ago. It’s probably been 2-3 years since we’ve been back. To say we’re disappointed with the food, staff, and environment is an understatement. Our server seemed less than thrilled to be there. It was almost uncomfortable. The manager came out because I mentioned that meant to order something else and she was just very short with us and seemed extremely annoyed about having to do anything. I didn’t even ask for a new order, I just asked for a side of something. The food was barely warm. It was just overall a very underwhelming and blah experience. Definitely won’t be coming back as it’s not worth the money we spent.

The vegan salmon and avocado roll looked so realistic and tasted great! The vegan Thai wings were worth coming back. Even if you want to drink some hot, both the green tea and the raspberry hot make excellent pairings. The food can definitely be expensive, but the taste is worth it!

The restaurant has a wonderful ambiance. The food is tasty, and the cocktails are both refreshing and delicious. The service is quick and friendly. The outdoor terrace offers a beautiful view of one of the courtyard and the cinema.
