The staff, particularly Loki, the pub's dog, were excellent and made our experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this place if you are in the area. The price per person ranges from £10 to £20. The food, service, and atmosphere all receive a perfect rating of 5. I recommend trying the Steak Pie and Mac Cheese dishes.
This is a traditional pub that welcomes dogs, with the friendly landlord providing water bowls and dog treats. The beer is very reasonably priced.
This pub has a very local feel, but it provides great value and serves delicious, straightforward dishes. They are also dog-friendly, which was a bonus for us. We were happy we stopped off the A77 to find a place to eat. The pub has a car park on the side and the price per person is between £10 and £20. The food was rated a 4, service a 5, and atmosphere a 4. Recommended dishes include the Steak Pie. There is plenty of parking available.
Well worth a visit to see a decent Scottish pub. When we no visited there was a core of locals at the bar and seated at the tables. A decent range of drinks, with one good real ale, a bit of a rarity in these parts. The landlord was a quintessential old school landlord. A little reticent at first but then very friendly and welcoming as soon as we got chatting. If you are used to flashy, busy modern city pubs then this is quite different and worth a visit. Service: 5
