Lagoda's Saloon - South Amboy

I had a great time at this restaurant. It had a peaceful atmosphere and was beautifully designed like a tavern.

Karen, the bartender, was friendly and welcoming. The only downside was that the lighting inside was a bit too dark, and they did not accept card payments. The ATM charged a fee of $2 for withdrawals.

Yesterday, I visited a restaurant that I haven't been to in about 15 years. It was located above the road and hasn't changed much since my last visit, except it seemed quieter and less crowded. The clientele appeared to be mostly older individuals. They still have a digital jukebox in the back and the bartender, an older man, was friendly. The restaurant used to be known for their slimjims but I didn't see them on the menu. I'm not sure if they still serve them. There was a kitchen in the back, but I didn't see anyone dining there. Overall, Lagodas is a hidden gem in South Amboy and much better than the restaurant down the road. I will definitely return next time I'm in the area.

This is absolutely one of the best place in the neighborhood. Always when I visit this place I am extremely satisfied. They keep their high level service and the topmost level of food they provide. You surely will enjoy this this restaurant. Very recommended.

I really enjoyed this traditional bar. The staff and other customers were very welcoming.
