Restaurant Cafe du Midi - Soussac

We have dined here on many occasions and come back. Stephanes Essen is delicious, the prices are very reasonable and we enjoy chatting with him and Sandrine in English and also our bad French. It is a great example of what the French do well...easily seasonal food and delicious wine at good prices.

We had a wonderful numb at stefan and his wife! They made a delicious diner for us. as vegetarian stefan has immediately adjusted the menu. we are in the region for two weeks and will certainly be next week!

We decided to go for a drive and found this little restaurant and as it was lunch time decided to give it a go! There was a limited choice, the entree was described as crudités but really it was salad with olives, eggs, gush and...drowned in balsamic vinegar! My two friends enjoyed it but too much dressing for me. For mains we had pork kebabs, homemade chips and a homemade pepper sauce, all delicious. I declined dessert but my two friends banana verrine which they loved. With wine €11 for two courses and €13.50 for three. Very nice staff too.

My wife and I had dinner here since few restaurants in the area were open.While the initial impression was somewhat underwhelming, we were warmly greeted and quickly seated and served. Meal selections were limited, but varied and attractive. My wife had a chicken dish and...I had shrimp scampi. Both were tasty and filling. Enjoyed the food, service and pleasant experience.

Difficile de trouver un restaurant du soir dont les prix soient correct .En milieu rural ce petit restaurant offre tout ce que l'on peut demander . Une cuisine élaborée , basée sur des produits de saison , copieuse à petit prix .18€ le menu du vendredi soir : une belle salade de crevettes sautées sur lit de petits légumes , une cote de bœuf accompagnée de purée de potimaron et d'autres petits légumes de saison , une bonne tarte aux pommes . Le vin de Bordeaux en carafe à 4€ le demi litre . Qui dit mieux ?
