Sound Beach Diner

This restaurant is consistently amazing. We visit at least 3 times a week and wish we could go even more often.

The takeout service at this restaurant was terrible. I had to go back three times before they got my order right. When we finally opened the meals at home, we realized they forgot to put anything on the quesadilla. We didn't bother going back for a fourth time. I will not be eating here again.

The staff at this restaurant is extremely friendly, especially Katrina who is an exceptional waitress. The food was amazing and I highly recommend this diner.

I had heard good things about Sound Beach Diner, but I always forgot to try it. Finally, I went there to meet friends for breakfast, and it was excellent! The staff was wonderfully friendly, attentive, and courteous. The menu was interesting because they offered a-la-carte options as well as chef's specialties, allowing customers to order exactly what they want and reduce food waste, which was great. There was a good selection of items on the menu, and the food we ordered was delicious. Everything was absolutely perfect! I can't wait to go back and try other items on the menu. I expect to visit often, as the location is convenient for me, and I now know that the rumors of its excellence are true.

We visited this diner on the hill during our trip in 2019. When I called for a delivery order, I was told the driver had just left. I asked when he would return, and was told it would be much later that night before they hung up. I told my partner about this and we decided to pick up the order instead. I ordered a chicken pot pie with soup, and my partner ordered a Turkish bacon club with fries. However, when we got home, we realized they had forgotten the sides. My chicken pot pie was not what I expected - it was two pieces of bread on top of a loose bun with overcooked vegetables and a small amount of gravy. The bread was tough and the vegetables were overcooked. It was definitely not worth the $32 we paid, and we were both extremely disappointed.
