West Coast Grill - Sooke

Been a year or so since I have at West Coast Grill in Sooke. Picked up my Granddaughter for Lunch today and asked where she wanted to go…she said let’s go to the West Coast Grill as she likes their Chicken and Fires which she ordered WTH she is 14 and still working on her Palate I ordered the Wild Mushroom Bisque and the Tuna Club Sandwich with Salad. The Bisque was very tasty and recommended just wish they would put 2-3 more ounces in the Bowl for that price. The Tuna Club Sandwich was Outstanding and I highly recommend it if you pop in for Lunch. Such a great setting beside the water, staff are friendly and prices are well the prices are what they are our bill was Approx $80.00 we both had Ice Tea and split the Layered Cheesecake which wasn’t too sweet and was a nice finish to the meal. Happy hour at this restaurant runs from 3 to 6pm, where you can enjoy $5 off shared plates and select drinks (refer to the happy hour drink menu in the pictures). The view of the harbor is stunning, featuring ocean views, hills, and mountains. The service staff are friendly, professional, and attentive, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. The facility is clean and follows Covid protocols. We indulged in some appetizers and drinks - a wonderful way to spend an afternoon! Highly recommended dishes include the three cheese dip and truffle fries.

I made reservations for 4 people two weeks in advance. We were placed on the waitlist. We heard nothing from the restaurant . No phone calls or emails. We tried to call, but no response. Why keep people waiting with no communication in an area with limited restaurant choices. Very terrible customer service…..

Recently visited and were pleasantly surprised by our experience. Nice restaurant with great views and an outside patio as well. Very friendly staff and good service. I had the west coast chowder which started as clam chowder then they added fish, shrimp, and mussels, it was very tasty. My wife had the chicken sandwich we she very much enjoyed as well. Great meal, we will be back.

Staying at the hotel and thought we would try it. Had to check-in and waited about an hour before having room to dine but this was not a big deal as we just landed. The food was simply amazing to look at and taste. Duck Wings, Lamb Rack, Ravioli, etc. were all excellent. Would come back again for sure!
