The City Square is situated right in the heart of Sonoma and is a fantastic spot. It truly feels like the go-to place for locals in Sonoma. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, with a decent number of bar seats and cozy booths. There's even a jukebox to play tunes. The bartenders are excellent at what they do and provide attentive service! The drinks are quite affordable, especially considering its prime location in the center of Sonoma.

This bar has a lot to offer for several reasons. The drinks are excellent, affordable, and not watered down. The beer on tap was delicious. The bartender was quick and friendly, and the music was great—you can even control it! Overall, it creates a fun atmosphere. Plus, its location in the city square is fantastic.

The place is cozy, with only about 3-4 booths, and it’s easy to overlook while strolling through downtown Sonoma. We stumbled upon it around 9:30 PM, which was fortunate since it was one of the few establishments still open late. It’s a good idea to walk here if you can. The locals are welcoming and love to share stories while you catch a game of basketball or ice hockey. If you're interested, you might even catch an episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation. Keep in mind, though, that they don’t serve food—just some packaged chips. Despite that, it’s a lovely place to unwind at the end of the day. I'll definitely be making a return visit the next time I'm in downtown Sonoma!
